Welcome to Island Trials

Island Trials is Papua New Guinea's own adventure reality series, made in Papua New Guinea, for Papua New Guineans.

20 Trialists compete in 5 rounds of physical and mental competition as they compete for the ultimate prize.

The beaches, the mountains, islands, cityscapes — Island Trials moves like the winds. Each episode in a new location, and every location brings its own games. Some rounds test brawn. Some test brains. The hardest ones test whether you have what it takes to survive.

This is Island Trials.

How an episode works

Brain. Brawn. Balance. 20 go in. 1 comes out.

  1. Round one

    Identity

    The road in. Twenty players earn their place and tell us who they are. Once they introduce themselves, they are randomly divided into teams.

  2. Round two

    Strength in unity

    Time to turn strangers into teams of five and test their brawn. The slow, the weak, the nervy are eliminated.

    Mind over matter

    Puzzles and mysteries challenge the mind. Strong arms count for nothing here.

    Swimming with the crocodiles

    Teams are dissolved. Every man and woman for themselves. Alliances get tested and a few are left behind.

    Elevate

    The finale. Unity, power and purpose, settled by a steady hand and a sharp eye.

Brands aren't stuck in an ad break here — they sit inside the games themselves.

Imagine this: a bilum relay race with your product being used to fill up the bilum. Or a stacking challenge where contestants must use the product to stack them on top of each other. Your product on display during your round.
